Daegu court sentences man for trespassing into women's bathhouses

A man in his 20s has been sentenced to eight months in prison for trespassing into women's public bathhouses in Daegu to observe naked women. The Daegu District Court also ordered him to complete 40 hours of sexual violence treatment and imposed a three-year employment restriction at facilities involving children, adolescents, or people with disabilities.

The defendant, identified as A, entered a sauna in Jung-gu, Daegu, in April last year by deceiving counter staff, where he remained for approximately one hour. He was subsequently charged with a second incident in November at a bathhouse in Dong-gu, where he stayed for three hours and 20 minutes. The court noted that the defendant committed the second offense while already undergoing trial for the first, leading to an aggravated sentence.
