Daegu Kogas Pegasus shows improved pace in KBL preseason

Daegu Kogas Pegasus has demonstrated a significant tactical shift toward a faster pace during recent KBL preseason matches. After a narrow 82-87 loss to Ulsan Hyundai Mobis, the team rebounded with an 80-67 victory against Busan KCC Egis.

A key takeaway from these matches is the team's improved transition play. In the game against Hyundai Mobis, the team recorded nine fast breaks, totaling 18 points, a notable improvement from last season's league-low average of 2.9 fast breaks per game.

However, the team faces challenges regarding foul management and new league regulations. During the loss to Hyundai Mobis, Kébé Aluma's early foul trouble left the team vulnerable to opponents utilizing the new rule that allows two foreign players to be on the court simultaneously during the second and third quarters. Coach Kang Hyuk noted that while the intended fast-paced transition was visible in the first half, maintaining that intensity throughout the entire game remains a priority for the upcoming regular season.
