Daegu Maker Festa to showcase AI and robotics

The 2026 Daegu Maker Festa is scheduled to take place from the 19th to the 20th at the Daegu Samsung Creative Campus. Hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City and the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education, the event aims to provide a platform for individuals to realize their ideas through hands-on creation.

The festival will feature approximately 100 booths, including those from corporations, institutions, maker spaces, and schools. A significant focus this year is placed on AI, robotics, and mobility technologies. Participating companies will demonstrate various innovations, such as generative AI platforms, real-time multilingual translators, modular autonomous robots, and electric mobility control systems.

Additionally, the Maker School Zone will involve 30 educational institutions, including elementary, middle, and high schools. These booths will offer structured learning experiences where students can observe principles, explore concepts, and engage in hands-on making activities.
