Daegu prepares charitable donations for 2026 World Masters Athletics Championships

Various organizations are preparing charitable contributions for the 2026 Daegu World Masters Athletics Championships.

The Daegu Medical Association's Social Contribution Division visited the Daegu Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities to deliver opening ceremony performance tickets valued at 5 million won. The initiative aims to provide local residents with disabilities the opportunity to participate in the international sporting and cultural event.

Additionally, the Korea Veterans Service announced it will donate approximately 150 million won worth of clothing, including sports T-shirts and student uniforms, to athletes participating from 10 countries that provided UN forces during the Korean War. This donation includes roughly 10,000 items intended for athletes from nations such as Turkey, the Philippines, and Colombia.
