Daegu University hosts symposium on AI and bio-technology for infertility treatment

Daegu University’s Anchor Project Division Infertility Healthcare Center held the ‘2026 Infertility AI Convergence Symposium’ in Gyeongju to explore future strategies for infertility medical care. The event brought together approximately 100 experts from the fields of medicine, biology, and artificial intelligence.

Discussions focused on integrating advanced bio-models with AI, including topics such as uterine organoids, rejuvenation reprogramming for aging reversal, and the impact of exercise on ovarian aging. The symposium also covered the use of wearable devices and AI-driven platforms for monitoring infertility-related health and stress through non-contact biological signal analysis.

The event included a working group meeting involving the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB) and the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) to discuss global cooperation networks. Daegu University is also working to cultivate specialized talent through its newly established Department of Infertility Medical Industry.
