Daejeon Content Fair expands with characters and games
The 2026 Daejeon Content Fair is being held at the Daejeon Convention Center (DCC) from the 16th to the 18th. Organized by Daejeon City, the Daejeon Tourism Organization, and the Daejeon Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency, the event focuses on public characters, functional games, and subculture.
This year's fair has expanded significantly, featuring 149 companies and institutions across 298 booths, compared to 96 companies and 200 booths last year. Expected attendance is approximately 12,000 visitors. Key programs include the 'Republic of Korea Local Government and Public Character Festival,' featuring 92 types of public characters, and the 'Republic of Korea Functional Game Fair,' which showcases 27 games related to education, school violence prevention, and accessibility.
Additional activities include the 2nd Adaptive Esports Summit, character IP consulting, business matching, and subculture events such as costume parades and cosplay runways. The city is also coordinating the event with the Daejeon Bread Festival and the Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series (PMPS) finals to maximize visitor synergy.
