Daejeon education office to host briefing on 2028 college entrance reforms
The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education will host an information session regarding the 2028 college entrance reform on October 21 at the Daejeon Career Convergence Education Center. The event is designed for approximately 280 parents of 10th and 11th-grade students to provide accurate information on upcoming policy changes.
Key topics of the session include the transition to a five-tier academic grading system and the introduction of an integrated College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT). The lecture, led by teacher Jeong Kwang-mun, will also cover the connection between the high school credit system and student record evaluations, as well as a comparative analysis of admission plans for major universities in the Seoul and Chungcheong regions.
Admission to the session is on a first-come, first-served basis via on-site registration starting at 6:30 PM, with no prior reservation required. Daejeon Superintendent Oh Seok-jin stated that the office aims to support students in proactively designing their futures amidst the changing educational environment.
