Daejeon extends Ontong Daejeon cashback program through November

Daejeon Metropolitan City has announced that the Ontong Daejeon cashback program will continue through November, offering tiered benefits of up to 15%.

While all citizens will receive a base cashback rate of 10%, additional incentives are being targeted toward specific groups and sectors. Welfare recipients, users of traditional markets, shopping districts, and customers at youth-owned small businesses (where the owner is aged 19–39 and has been in business for less than a year) will receive an additional 3%, totaling 13%.

Furthermore, payments made at ‘Good Price Stores’ will qualify for an additional 5%, bringing the maximum cashback to 15%. This specific incentive for Good Price Stores is scheduled to run from September 1 to December 31, subject to budget availability.

City officials noted that the program structure has shifted from the uniform 15% cashback provided to all citizens in September to this targeted approach in October and November to concentrate benefits on welfare recipients and local commercial districts.
