Daejeon Metropolitan Council appoints new advisory committee

The Daejeon Metropolitan Council has launched its 10th term advisory committee to enhance the professionalism of its legislative activities. During an appointment ceremony held on the 25th, Council Chairman Jo Seong-chil welcomed 30 experts from various fields, including academia, research institutes, industry, and the legal profession.

The committee is divided into five specialized subcommittees: Administrative and Autonomous Affairs, Welfare and Environment, Industry and Construction, Education, and Budget and Settlement. These members will serve two-year terms until July 2028, providing policy advice, research support, and data collection to assist council members in their duties.

Chairman Jo emphasized that the committee will act as a think tank to provide objective perspectives, helping the council address regional issues and prioritize the lives of citizens.
