Daejeon to host 2026 vocational high school admissions fair

The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education will host the ‘2026 DJ (Dream & Job) Vocational High School Admissions Fair’ on September 8 at the Daejeon Convention Center (DCC) Exhibition Hall 2. The event is a collaborative effort involving 12 vocational high schools within the Daejeon area.

Approximately 3,000 elementary and middle school students, along with parents, are expected to attend. The fair aims to provide accurate admission information and personalized career exploration opportunities through various programs, including one-on-one counseling booths, department experience sessions, and career lectures.

The schedule includes performances by student clubs and a special lecture by science YouTuber ‘Gwedo’ regarding future career paths. Superintendent Oh Seok-jin stated that the event is designed to help students and parents understand the competitiveness of vocational education and foster a positive perception of these institutions.
