Daewon Pharmaceutical begins in-house production of Shinbaro

Daewon Pharmaceutical has commenced the in-house production of Shinbaro, a natural medicine used for treating osteoarthritis and providing anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. This move completes the company’s integrated system, covering everything from production to distribution, marketing, and sales.

The transition follows a strategic progression that began in 2018 with a joint sales agreement with GC Biopharma. In 2024, Daewon Pharmaceutical completed the acquisition of all related assets, including manufacturing and sales licenses. To support this new manufacturing capability, the company invested approximately 5 billion KRW to expand production facilities.

By managing the entire lifecycle of the product, Daewon Pharmaceutical aims to ensure a stable supply and enhance its competitiveness in the musculoskeletal treatment market. The company plans to leverage Shinbaro alongside its existing product, Pelubi, to create synergies in its sales and marketing operations.
