Daewoo E&C and Hanoi Mayor discuss Vietnam infrastructure investment

Daewoo E&C Chairman Won-ju Jung met with Hanoi Mayor Vu Dai Thang in Seoul to discuss expanding investments in Vietnam’s new cities, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

During the meeting, Chairman Jung emphasized the company’s 30-year history in Vietnam and its role in connecting local and Korean investments through the Starlake City project. He requested administrative support, including streamlined land compensation and licensing, to ensure the successful completion of Starlake City and to facilitate the relocation of government agencies.

Mayor Vu Dai Thang expressed appreciation for Daewoo E&C’s contributions to Hanoi’s development and pledged active support for land compensation and government relocation to complete the new city projects. Daewoo E&C is also exploring “K-smart city” models that integrate Korean technology and culture into Hanoi’s urban planning.

In addition to Starlake City, Daewoo E&C is pursuing development projects in Kien Giang and Dong Nai provinces.
