Daewoong Pharma Q2 profit jumps as Nabota exports surge
Daewoong Pharmaceutical reported a strong second‑quarter performance, posting consolidated revenue of 4.485 trillion Korean won and operating profit of 681 billion won, up 10.6% and 17.7% respectively from the same period a year earlier. The profit increase was driven by a sharp rise in export sales of its botulinum toxin product Nabota, which reached 941 billion won, a 54% year‑on‑year gain. Including domestic sales, total Nabota revenue for the quarter was 1.034 trillion won.
The company’s operating margin improved to 19.3%, reflecting the high‑margin nature of Nabota. Daewoong also announced plans to launch a new Nabota manufacturing plant with a capacity of 16 million vials per year from 2027. Additional business segments showed modest growth, with digital‑health sales rising 27% year over year to 157 billion won.
