Daewoong Pharmaceutical partners with Prometheus for AI osteoporosis screening

Daewoong Pharmaceutical has partnered with medical imaging AI company Prometheus to distribute ‘Osteo Signal’, an AI-based osteoporosis risk screening solution. The agreement focuses on the domestic sale, distribution, and joint promotion of the technology within South Korean medical institutions.

Osteo Signal utilizes existing chest X-ray images to analyze and identify patients at risk of osteoporosis without requiring additional imaging. This allows for early detection during routine health checkups or general medical consultations, facilitating a transition to more precise bone density tests and subsequent treatment.

Through this collaboration, Daewoong Pharmaceutical aims to establish an integrated management model that covers the entire patient journey—from early screening and diagnosis to treatment using its existing therapeutic options, such as ‘Stoboclo’. Prometheus will leverage Daewoong’s extensive medical network to expand the clinical application and market presence of its AI technology.
