Daewoong Pharmaceutical deploys AI monitoring at Ajou University Hospital
Daewoong Pharmaceutical has supplied its AI-based smart bedside monitoring system, ‘thynC’, to Ajou University Hospital. The system is currently operational across 342 beds in seven wards, including thoracic surgery, cardiology, and emergency departments, with plans to expand to a maximum of 1,100 beds.
The thynC system utilizes wearable biosensors to monitor vital signs such as ECG, heart rate, respiration, and oxygen saturation in real time. It features AI-driven detection for falls and emergency arrhythmias, automatically syncing data with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) every 60 seconds to reduce manual workload for medical staff.
As of October, the thynC system has been implemented in 218 medical institutions across South Korea, covering a cumulative total of 20,544 beds. Daewoong Pharmaceutical aims to continue expanding its smart ward solutions to major tertiary and regional hospitals.
