DAF Trucks and Ergon win SER Diversity in Business Award

DAF Trucks and Ergon have won the 2026 SER Diversity in Business Award for their project, ‘De Academie’. The initiative focuses on providing training and suitable employment opportunities for job seekers, including newcomers, within the Brainport region.

Through a collaboration involving DAF, Ergon, Summa College, and the Municipality of Eindhoven, the program has successfully transitioned nearly one hundred participants into jobs in the local logistics sector. The project aims to lower barriers for those seeking retraining or integration by providing language support, education, and work experience.

In a related development, the Inclusive Employer Award Brainport has also expanded this year to recognize two winners. The award evaluates employers based on their approach to integrating individuals with a distance to the labor market, aiming to connect the region's labor shortages with those seeking support to find and maintain employment.
