DAF Trucks reports profit growth and expands electric vehicle lineup

DAF Trucks, a subsidiary of PACCAR, has reported significant financial growth for the third quarter of 2026, with revenue increasing by 19% and net profit rising 44% compared to the previous year. The company is leveraging opportunities in the European heavy truck market, where PACCAR expects registrations for trucks exceeding 16 tons to reach between 300,000 and 320,000 in 2026.

As part of its technological evolution, DAF is expanding its portfolio to include both clean diesel and battery-electric drivetrains. At the IAA Transportation 2026 trade fair in Hannover, the company showcased the DAF XD Electric and XF Electric, both of which were named International Truck of the Year 2026.

Reflecting on its history, DAF has won the International Truck of the Year title eight times since its first win with the DAF 95 in 1988. The company continues to focus on aerodynamics, fuel efficiency, and driver comfort to enhance operational performance for its customers.
