Turkish series ‘Daha 17’ adds veteran writer Cenk Boğatur

The popular Turkish drama “Daha 17,” which has been one of the most‑watched projects of the summer season, faced viewer criticism that the storyline had stalled. In response, the production team brought in experienced screenwriter Cenk Boğatur – known for his work on “Son Yaz” and “Güneşin Kızları” – to strengthen the writing staff starting with episode 9.

The change was made to address audience concerns and keep the series’ strong ratings. Even after the overhaul, “Daha 17” retained its top‑ranking viewership, recording a 6.23 rating in the “All Persons” category and leading the day’s audience share.

The move underscores how Turkish broadcasters adjust creative teams to maintain momentum on high‑profile series.
