Dahser to cut half of jobs at German logistics center

German logistics group Dahser is set to eliminate approximately half of the jobs at its center in Feihingen, affecting about 75 of its 150 employees. This restructuring follows the decision by a major client to relocate its operations.

While Dahser did not name the client directly, adhesive manufacturer Tesa confirmed it is moving its logistics operations to a new, partially automated warehouse in Birštat, Hesse, with completion expected by mid-2027. Because the Feihingen facility was specifically customized for Tesa's receiving, packaging, and delivery needs, the existing roles cannot be easily transitioned to other clients.

Dahser has reached a social plan with employee representatives, which includes a voluntary redundancy program. Despite the significant staff reduction, the company does not plan to close the Feihingen center. It intends to diversify by attracting new clients in industrial goods and non-refrigerated food products by late 2026 to reduce dependency on single large accounts.
