Daiana Leguizamón transferred to high-risk prison in Argentina
Daiana Micaela ‘La Diabla’ Leguizamón has been transferred to a high-risk prison due to her violent profile and alleged links to organized crime. Leguizamón was previously identified as a key intermediary for Ariel ‘Guille’ Cantero, the leader of the Los Monos gang in Rosario, facilitating communications for extortion attempts while under house arrest.
Her involvement gained notoriety following the ‘narcoboda’ incident in January 2022. During a wedding in Ibarlucea involving individuals linked to drug trafficking, a targeted assassination occurred outside the venue, resulting in the deaths of Iván Maximiliano Giménez and Erica Romero. Leguizamón was present at the event but fled before police arrived.
Her arrest was solidified in September 2023 during a police raid in San Nicolás. Authorities discovered that she was using a mobile device to coordinate criminal activities, an investigation supported by prosecutor Pablo Socca.
