Daihatsu retail sales rise 9.1% in Indonesia through August 2026
PT Astra Daihatsu Motor reported a 9.1% increase in retail sales for the period of January to August 2026, totaling 97,059 units compared to 88,944 units during the same period in 2025. This performance has secured a 16.3% market share in the Indonesian automotive market, maintaining Daihatsu's position as the second-ranked retail brand in the country, following Toyota.
In August 2026 alone, the company recorded 12,100 retail units. The Gran Max Series, including the Gran Max PU and Gran Max MB, was the largest contributor, accounting for 5,944 units or approximately 49% of monthly sales. The LCGC Series, comprising the Sigra and Ayla models, contributed 3,693 units, or about 31%. Other contributors included the Terios (1,315 units), All New Xenia (619 units), Rocky Series (266 units), and Luxio (252 units).
Rokky Irvayandi, Marketing Director & Corporate Function Director of PT Astra Daihatsu Motor, stated that the results reflect positive public response to their diverse models for business and family mobility. The company aims to maintain this momentum through the end of 2026 by strengthening products and services.
