Daiichi Bussan reports doubled sales for Olive Kimchi during anniversary festival

Daiichi Bussan Co., Ltd., a kimchi specialty store founded in 1960, reported that sales of its ‘Olive Kimchi’ doubled compared to the previous year during its 8th-anniversary appreciation festival. The promotion, which ran from August 24 to September 30, 2026, offered an 8% discount at its direct stores and online shop.

The Olive Kimchi product features Spanish green olives that have been salt-cured and fermented for eight weeks, combined with seasoning made from garlic grown in Aomori. The company noted strong interest from both new customers and repeat buyers during the promotional period.
