Daiki Arai leads JN-1 class at All Japan Rally in Fukushima
Daiki Arai has established a significant lead in the JN-1 class during the MSCC Rally in Fukushima Date, the seventh round of the 2026 All Japan Rally Championship. Driving a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, Arai dominated the first day of the tarmac event, securing the fastest times across all six special stages to end the day 32.0 seconds ahead of championship leader Takuya Kamata.
The rally, held in Fukushima Prefecture, marked the first time this specific event has been included in the championship calendar. Conditions were challenging due to rain, leaving surfaces wet and muddy with slippery patches. Arai managed his pace to maintain his advantage, while Kamata, driving a Skoda Fabia R5, sought to close the gap through data collection and tactical tire choices.
As the competition moves into the final sections, the championship battle remains tight. Kamata holds 121.9 points compared to Arai's 120.1 points. Other notable competitors include Norihiko Katsuta, who sits in third place, maintaining a fight for the podium.
