Daimiel residents gather for Virgen de las Cruces procession

In Daimiel, hundreds of residents gathered for the procession of the Virgen de las Cruces as she was moved to her Sanctuary. The event began early in the morning with a mass at the Ermita del Cristo de la Luz.

To accommodate young participants performing the relays, the departure was delayed by one hour to allow for better lighting during the route. The procession involved 13 relays of bearers, accompanied by a large group of people walking, running, or cycling. Upon arrival at the Sanctuary, the Virgin passed through a decorative carpet made of tinted salt and was welcomed by the Municipal Music Band and local authorities, including Mayor Leopoldo Sierra.
