Daimler Truck reports mixed Q2 results amid bus sales decline

Daimler Truck Holding AG reported mixed financial results for the second quarter of 2026. While the company saw an increase in total truck and bus deliveries to 86,707 units, the bus division experienced a significant downturn. Daimler Buses reported a 25% decrease in orders and a 13% decline in sales compared to the same period last year.

In its industrial business, revenue rose to 11.4 billion euros from 10.8 billion euros in the previous year, and free cash flow increased to 1.8 billion euros. However, adjusted EBIT for the industrial segment fell to 838 million euros, down from 1,022 million euros, leading to a decrease in the adjusted sales margin from 9.2% to 6.8%.

Despite these challenges, the company raised its forecast for Trucks North America, projecting an adjusted sales margin of 9% to 11% and sales between 160,000 and 180,000 units. The overall group result saw a 48% decline compared to the previous year, falling from 245 million to 128 million euros.
