Dainis Upelnieks wins Latvian Cup in round target shooting

The final stage of the Latvian Cup in target shooting was held in Riga on August 29 and 30, determining the season's best performers in round target and trench target shooting across various categories.

In round target shooting, Dainis Upelnieks secured the overall Latvian Cup title with a total of 148 points. Ričards Zorovs finished second with 101 points, and Valdis Kalējs took third with 91 points. In the youth category, Ričards Zorovs won the title, while Santa Upelniece won the women's competition. The “Iecavas novada Zirnieki” team claimed victory in the team round target competition.

In the trench target shooting category, Kārlis Jurgenovskis became the 2026 Latvian Cup winner with 124 points, narrowly defeating Raitis Onužāns, who finished with 122 points. Atis Vēveris secured third place with 119 points.
