Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day funds children's hospitals in Canada and US
Dairy Queen organized Miracle Treat Day events in two North American locations. On August 13, DQ outlets on Vancouver Island, Canada, donated 100% of net proceeds from every Blizzard sold to the BC Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Miracle Network, continuing a 24‑year program that has raised more than $58 million for children’s charities nationwide.
In Yuma, Arizona, the local Dairy Queen partnered with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, giving one dollar per Blizzard purchased to local children’s hospitals. The two‑hour event featured a car showcase by the community group Unfazed, and included remarks from Salvador Cortazar, head of training at Dairy Queen, and Jonathan Bustos, founder of Unfazed, emphasizing the community impact of the fundraiser.
