Daisuke Nagai clinches G2 Hamamatsu Auto Race title

Daisuke Nagai, 49, won the 4th Hamamatsu Memorial (G2) auto‑race at the Hamamatsu Auto‑Race Track, securing his 16th G2 victory and the 114th win of his career. He took the lead on the third lap and held it to the finish, beating Kyosuke Kurokawa (2nd) and Kazuya Kurihara (3rd). Nagai credited a fresh set of tires and a well‑tuned engine for the performance, saying the track had previously been a weak spot for him.

The win completes a season‑wide sweep of all six G2 events for Nagai, who described the result as “unbelievable.” He looks ahead to the next race at Kawaguchi on the 6th and then the Isezaki SG Auto‑Race Grand Prix.
