Daisy Edgar-Jones reports hearing loss after filming ‘Twisters’

Actress Daisy Edgar-Jones has revealed that filming the disaster movie ‘Twisters’ may have caused permanent damage to her hearing. During an appearance on the ‘Therapuss’ podcast, the 28-year-old actress stated, “I think I am still slightly hard of hearing in my left ear.”

Edgar-Jones attributed the issue to the intense production conditions, noting that wind and debris frequently struck her from an unfavorable angle on her left side. The film utilized large wind machines, artificial rain, and flying debris to create realistic action sequences.

She also noted the irony of the production in Oklahoma, where the crew often had to pause filming due to actual severe weather, only to recreate those same extreme conditions artificially once the storms passed. Despite the physical toll and hearing concerns, Edgar-Jones expressed that the stunt-heavy production increased her enthusiasm for action roles.
