Daiwa House Industry begins construction on Niigata logistics facility
Daiwa House Industry has commenced construction on ‘DPL Niigata Higashiko’, a multi-tenant logistics facility located in Kita Ward, Niigata City. The two-story building will have a total floor area of approximately 16,939.92 square meters and is scheduled for completion by late November 2027.
The facility is strategically positioned near the Toyosaka Niigata Higashiko Interchange on the Nihonkai-Tohoku Expressway and the Toyosaka Interchange on the Shin-Shin Bypass. Its proximity to Niigata East Port and Niigata Airport allows for efficient land, sea, and air transport networks, supporting wide-area distribution across the Hokuriku and Tohoku regions.
Designed with environmental sustainability in mind, the facility will feature a 1,211kW solar power generation system using an ‘on-site PPA’ model to promote renewable energy use for tenants. The project aims to achieve a 6-star rating under the Building Energy Efficiency Labeling System (BELS) and obtain Nearly ZEB certification.
