Daiwa Kogyo implements automation to combat labor shortages

Daiwa Kogyo Co., Ltd., a hollow rivet manufacturer based in Kawagoe, Saitama, has begun operating new equipment designed to streamline production and sorting processes as of July.

The company is implementing these small-scale automation investments to combat worsening labor shortages. Alongside technical upgrades, the firm is also focusing on improving the workplace environment by increasing annual holidays and enhancing systems for childcare and nursing care leave.
