Dak Lak Department of Construction official faces discipline after parking dispute

The Dak Lak Department of Construction has confirmed it is addressing the inappropriate conduct of a civil servant following a viral video. The incident occurred on September 19 at a spa on Tran Van Phu Street in Buon Ma Thuot.

In the footage, a man identified as a specialist from the Department's Infrastructure Development Division engaged in an argument with a female spa owner regarding his car parking. During the dispute, the man, who claimed to work in traffic management, threatened to “dẹp tiệm” (shut down the business).

Following the social media backlash, the individual returned to the spa to apologize to the owner. Leadership at the Dak Lak Department of Construction stated they would “chấn chỉnh phát ngôn” (rectify the remarks) and discipline the official for his behavior and language.
