Dak Lak driving instructor dies in student-operated vehicle accident

A driving instructor died on September 17 in Dak Lak while sitting in the passenger seat of a training vehicle operated by a student. The vehicle reportedly collided with a truck parked on the side of the road.

The incident has sparked public debate regarding the legal responsibilities of instructors, students, and training centers during road practice. Discussions focus on whether instructors must maintain constant observation to intervene in emergencies and how responsibility is distributed when training vehicles are equipped with auxiliary braking systems.

The Director of the Nam Viet Vocational Education and Driving Training Center responded to inquiries about training procedures, stating that the incident was already tragic and reacting to criticisms regarding the management of student practice sessions.
