Dak Lak durian convoy sets Guinness World Record

During the 2026 Dak Lak Durian Festival, a convoy of 525 pickup trucks carrying over 1,000 tons of durian set a Guinness World Record for the “longest convoy of pickup trucks carrying durian.” The parade began at Tan An Square and traveled through various routes toward Buon Ma Thuot, attracting large crowds of locals and tourists.

In addition to the international record, the Vietnam Record Organization established a local record for the “largest durian basket model in Vietnam,” featuring a structure 18 meters high and 16 meters wide. The festival, themed “Dak Lak Durian - Connecting Far and Wide,” is scheduled to run from August 15 to September 2. According to Le Anh Trung, Chairman of the Dak Lak Durian Association, the event aims to promote the province's agricultural brand to a global audience.
