Dak Lak hosts military defense exercise

Military Region 5 conducted a three-day defense area exercise in Dak Lak province from September 8 to 10, 2026. The drill aimed to refine combat plans and strengthen the province's defensive capabilities through map-based scenarios, field exercises, and live combat simulations.

Supervised by Lieutenant General Truong Manh Dung and led by Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Hai, the exercise included stages such as transitioning armed forces to combat readiness and implementing civil defense measures. Specific scenarios involved managing martial law, handling large-scale public disturbances, and responding to hostage situations and terrorism. The training emphasized the strategic importance of Dak Lak as a link between the Central Highlands and the central coast.
