Dak Lak petitions for toll fee reductions at Quang Duc BOT station
The Dak Lak Provincial People's Council has submitted a formal petition to the National Assembly Standing Committee requesting the implementation of toll fee exemptions or reductions at the Quang Duc BOT station. Located at Km1747 on the Ho Chi Minh Highway (formerly National Highway 14) in Cu Bao Ward, the station has been operational since November 2015 and is managed by the Quang Duc BOT Joint Stock Company.
Although the Ministry of Transport issued a directive in October 2017 agreeing to reduce fees for vehicles operating around BOT stations, the proposed relief for residents in the immediate vicinity of the Quang Duc station has not yet been implemented. Local authorities report that this delay negatively impacts the daily lives, education, and business activities of residents.
Additionally, the delay affects local officials and civil servants in Cu Bao Ward who must frequently travel through the toll station to move between various administrative offices, resulting in increased personal expenses. The provincial council is calling for the immediate execution of the reduction policy once approved and for the BOT company to coordinate with local authorities to assist residents in completing the necessary procedures.
