Dak Lak police arrest man for stabbing romantic rival

Dak Lak provincial police have arrested and prosecuted Nguyen Ngoc Trung, 36, for intentional injury following a dispute over a romantic relationship.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on July 1 in Dong Xuan commune. Trung, motivated by jealousy and perceived social media defamation by a rival, used a utility knife to attack V.H.T., 30, at a local spa. The victim sustained multiple stab wounds to the head and required emergency medical treatment.

Investigators noted that Trung has a prior criminal record involving theft, robbery, and property destruction, and was currently serving a period without a cleared criminal record.
