Dak Lak police crack down on fraudulent aesthetic centers

Dak Lak Provincial Police have launched investigations into three aesthetic centers for fraudulent activities involving the impersonation of medical professionals. The crackdown involves JK1 Aesthetic Center, Mega Gangnam, and Mega Korea 1 Aesthetic Institute.

Authorities revealed that while these facilities were only licensed for basic tattooing services, they performed invasive procedures, including injections and dermatological treatments, without medical licenses. Staff members, lacking medical degrees, reportedly wore white coats and posed as “doctors” or “experts” to deceive clients.

Using prepared consultation scripts, the centers allegedly exaggerated the medical conditions of customers and the efficacy of their technology to pressure them into purchasing expensive service packages. Initial investigations indicate that the suspects have misappropriated over 1 billion VND from numerous victims across the three locations.
