Dak Lak police prosecute man for using sensitive clips to harass ex-partner

Police in Dak Lak province have officially prosecuted Ha Hong Duc, 28, for the crime of “humiliating others” under the Penal Code. The charges follow an investigation into the unauthorized recording and distribution of sensitive content.

According to investigators, Duc and the victim met in Taiwan in 2023. During their relationship, Duc recorded nine videos containing sensitive imagery of the victim without her consent. After the victim ended the relationship and subsequently married another man in Taiwan, Duc allegedly began a campaign of harassment.

On May 8, Duc sent a 24-second sensitive video to the victim via social media. The victim reported the incident to authorities, leading to the current criminal proceedings. The Dak Lak Provincial Police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
