Dak Lak police warn motorists over expired vehicle documentation
Traffic police in Dak Lak province have issued a warning to vehicle owners to verify the validity of their documentation to avoid fines. During patrols on August 9, 2026, the Road Traffic Police Team No. 2 identified two specific violations involving expired or invalid documents.
The first case involved a driver from Gia Lai province using an expired administrative violation report to replace temporarily seized documents. The second case involved a driver in Son Thanh commune, Dak Lak, whose vehicle's technical safety and environmental protection certificate had been expired for nearly one month. Both individuals were processed according to regulations.
Authorities advise motorists to proactively check the expiration dates of all required documents, particularly technical inspection certificates, and to ensure they comply with scheduled appointment times for resolving seized paperwork.
