Dak Lak residents await flood relief funds
In Dak Lak province, thousands of households are still waiting for financial assistance following a historic flood that occurred in November of last year. Despite provincial approval and multiple directives to expedite the process, approximately 1,550 billion VND remains undisbursed as of mid-September.
In certain areas, such as Tay Hoa commune, residents continue to undergo repetitive verification processes to document the loss of livestock and poultry. Local officials report that the delay is largely due to complexities in verifying the exact number of animals lost to serve as a basis for compensation. Many affected families are struggling to recover their livelihoods and lack the necessary capital to restock their farms.
