Dak Lak woman clings to moving pickup truck during medical episode

A woman, identified as Nguyen Thi A. (born 1987) from Ea Knuếc, Dak Lak, was filmed clinging to the back of a moving pickup truck on National Highway 26 on August 8. The video caused significant social media speculation that the woman was livestreaming to sell durians, as the vehicle featured durian branding.

However, police authorities clarified that the behavior was caused by a medical emergency. According to Lieutenant Colonel Luong Xuan Ngoc of the Dak Lak Traffic Police, the woman suffered an epileptic seizure, causing her to lose control of her actions. During the episode, she climbed onto the moving truck and used her phone to take photos and videos.

Witnesses and the driver managed to pull the vehicle over safely. The woman's relatives confirmed she has a long-standing history of mental health issues and possesses medical certification regarding her condition. No property damage or injuries were reported, and she was subsequently returned to her family for care.
