Dak Prescott Discusses End of Engagement, Cites Faith and Focus on Family

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott confirmed that his engagement to longtime partner Sarah Jane Ramos was called off after a joint bachelor‑bachelorette party in the Bahamas. The couple, together since September 2023 and engaged in October 2024, were set to marry in April 2026 but ended the relationship five weeks before the wedding. They share two daughters, ages two and one.

Prescott spoke to ABC reporter Newy Scruggs at the Cowboys’ training camp in Oxnard, saying false narratives surrounded the split and emphasizing his priority to be present for his children. He described his Christian faith as a “superpower” that helps him handle personal adversity without it affecting his performance on the field. Entering his 11th NFL season, Prescott is coming off a strong 2025 campaign with 4,552 passing yards and 30 touchdowns, positioning him as an early MVP candidate for the 2026 season.
