Dak Prescott says faith is central to Dallas Cowboys culture
Following a 34-30 victory over the Houston Texans, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott stated that faith is a central component of the team’s culture. Prescott noted that he and many of his teammates view their presence in the league as being due to God and believe they are serving a greater purpose.
Prescott credited head coach Brian Schottenheimer with fostering an environment where faith is embraced. He expressed a desire for their beliefs to be ‘contagious,’ helping players maintain perspective regardless of whether they win or lose. The athlete emphasized that the goal is to be the best versions of themselves and to serve others.
Instances of faith were visible during the game, including a moment where cornerback Ameer Speed’s mother, Aricka Spencer, prayed for him from the stadium railing before the kickoff.
