Dakahlia Governor launches bakery inspections and stray dog control campaigns
Tarek Marzouk, the Governor of Dakahlia, has launched several administrative and public safety campaigns in response to citizen complaints.
In Mansoura and surrounding areas, authorities conducted surprise inspections of bakeries to ensure compliance with subsidized bread weight and quality standards. The campaign resulted in 28 violations being recorded, including bread weights being short by up to 19 grams, the misuse of subsidized flour, and improper hygiene. Legal action is being taken against those found in violation.
Simultaneously, the governorate is addressing public safety concerns regarding stray dogs. In coordination with the Veterinary Medicine Directorate, campaigns are being carried out in Belqas, Aga, and Mansoura to control the stray dog population. These efforts are part of a national strategy to combat rabies and protect citizens, particularly children and the elderly, from potential threats.
