Dakar Dem Dikk launches special bus service for Grand Magal of Touba

The Senegalese state transport company Dakar Dem Dikk announced a dedicated bus operation to accommodate pilgrims traveling to the Grand Magal of Touba. Buses will run on 30 July, 31 July and 1 August, charging a fare of 4 000 FCFA per passenger. Departures are planned from several points around Dakar, including the Colobane bus station, Pikine’s National Arena, Yoff airport and Rufisque’s Ngalandou Diouf stadium, with return trips organized from the Soxna Mai housing area the following morning.

The service aims to ensure comfort and safety for the large number of talibés and other travelers attending one of Senegal’s biggest religious gatherings, while limiting luggage per passenger to improve conditions.
