Dakota Ditcheva defeats Denise Kielholtz in PFL New York co‑main event

Dakota Ditcheva returned to the cage at the UBS Arena in New York for the PFL New York co‑main event on July 31, beating veteran Denise Kielholtz by unanimous decision. The 28‑year‑old British‑Bulgarian fighter extended her professional record to 16‑0 after more than a year away from competition due to hand injuries. Ditcheva dominated with a height and reach advantage, landing 102 significant strikes compared with Kielholtz’s 64, and used leg kicks, body punches and a timely knee to control the three‑round bout. Kielholtz, a former Bellator kickboxing champion, was durable but could not overcome Ditcheva’s volume and technical striking. The fight was heavily favored in the betting market, with odds of –5000 for Ditcheva and +1578 for Kielholtz. Former UFC contender Dan Hardy noted the lopsided odds and praised Kielholtz’s clinch abilities, while also questioning how Ditcheva’s recent hand recovery might affect her performance. The victory makes Ditcheva the youngest champion in PFL history and the first British fighter to win a world title in mixed‑martial arts.
