Dakota Johnson attends 2026 MTV VMAs and promotes ‘Verity’

Actress Dakota Johnson made several high-profile appearances during recent promotional events for her film ‘Verity’. At the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, Johnson appeared as a presenter, wearing a custom, iridescent blush sequin-embroidered Calvin Klein Collection gown. During the ceremony, she presented Taylor Swift with the inaugural Artist Director Honors award. Following the presentation, Johnson and Swift premiered the music video for ‘Patient Zero’, which also features Colin Farrell.

In addition to her VMA appearance, Johnson has been active on the press tour for ‘Verity’, including a red carpet appearance at the film’s London premiere where she wore a sheer lace dress by Fleur du Mal.

Addressing personal matters, Johnson spoke on Vogue’s ‘The Run-Through’ podcast, where she dismissed recent romance rumors involving musician Machine Gun Kelly, stating, “People are gonna believe what they wanna believe, and I don’t have the energy to fight for that.” She also shared details about a personal ritual called ‘Vogue Fridays’ inspired by her time filming in Italy.
