Dalcahue hosts international cybersecurity seminar
The Municipality of Dalcahue and Universidad Mayor held the First International Seminar on Cybersecurity and Personal Data Protection at the Ana Werner Cultural and Community Center. Led by Mayor Alejandra Villegas, the event brought together national and international specialists, including professionals from the Colombian Air Force, to discuss digital security, artificial intelligence, and data protection.
The seminar was divided into two sessions. The morning session focused on public officials and businesses, covering topics such as computer threats, wireless network security, and medical equipment vulnerabilities. The afternoon session targeted students and educators, addressing artificial intelligence, digital governance, and cognitive resilience to combat online disinformation.
The event also served to strengthen the partnership between the Dalcahue municipality and Universidad Mayor, aiming to transfer knowledge and develop local capacity in cybersecurity.
