Dalfsen ends Kiezenbrink dog off-leash field pilot

The municipality of Dalfsen has decided to terminate the pilot program for an enclosed dog off-leash field at Kiezenbrink. Investigations revealed that the location does not meet the necessary spatial and environmental requirements.

Research indicated that the site does not align with the current environmental plan. Furthermore, noise pollution studies showed that sound levels for nearby residents would exceed legal limits. To comply with regulations, costly and extensive measures such as soundproofing and terrain modifications would have been required, which were deemed unsuitable for the pilot's character. Alderman Bert Rozendaal stated that the municipality remains serious about the residents' needs and will use these insights to search for a more appropriate location.
